Okay. But there is a million ways to express that you don't like an image.
There are, which reminds me why I usually try to avoid making subjective statements in 2D worlds like this. Too easily misinterpreted. Someone once asked the poet Samuel Coleridge if he meant "X" by a certain passage in his famous Rime of the Ancient Mariner. He replied with a weary "Apparently"!
I like this, the only issue is the harsh shadow. I get this aswell and am thinking the only way around it is possibly standing them further away from the backdrop if possible. I will be playing with my flash these days off to see what I can and can't do and will be posting photos hopefully.Flugelbinder, I am reading what you are writing but my head don't get it right now. What can I google to read more about this?
Back on track, come along Jonathan.

Instead of a soft-box, consider an umbrella... The light bounces a lot better.
Have you made any yet?Ah. Thats an idea. Don't know when Im going to the studio next time, but there is an umbrella I could try out, outside.

Could you set something like this up but using onboard speed light pointing backwards?A diy? No. I could, I got a black umbrella, was thinking I could fill it with aluminum foil?? But I dont have the trigger set so I wont be able to try it out (although it could look really funny just placing it on top of the camera).
