my goal is to learn as much as I can about photography and my new cameras as I can.
The ultimate goal is to make a bit of income with my new hobby so that at least it would pay for itself!
I also would like to take 2 or 3 trips to and take lots of photos :p

I am just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit more to get out of the house and photograph more because -40 C is a bit too cold for me (and probably the NIkons). If it warms up to -20 I can go outside for a bit. Right now I have tons of shots of the inside of my house and the objects in my house hahah

That's so awesome to hear how you helped her! I'm into level wind reels myself, but the action of casting and such does help! :D
Thank you very much my friend! :D
Try Fly Fishing! I have a buddy that does not like the outdoors. (She doesn't like big open spaces.) So we tried traditional fishing. But she didn't like using baits, and didn't like the bass boat.

But with Fly Fishing she was forced to focus on her rhythm and breathing. It gave her something else to focus on instead of the openness. Now in the warmer months she hits the water with us almost every weekend! Heck...she now has almost developed a better double haul than I have!!

Mine is to sell a photo that I've taken!

doesnt matter what format (printed/digital etc) I just wanna sell one!

The sales I have made were sort of accidental. I have gifted things at the right time and place. By taking a collage to a party as a gift, I sold two to other people attending. Gifting cards or prints that are going to be in a public place has also helped. I don't set out to sell I just allow the opportunity to be there. I have done the same with other artsy fartsy things I do.

.......My new years resolution is to Not crop any photos and to get them as good a crop in camera as I would have liked.......

Personally, I think this is a bad idea.

Todays' digital cameras have more than enough pixels to allow you to toss out 10-15% without degrading IQ.

I always allow myself a little extra buffer in all my shots to correct for lens distortion, printing aspect ratios, perspective correction, etc.

It's better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.

Order "Understanding Exposure" as well as Scott Kelby's book on using Lightroom 5 and take my "hobby" to a much more serious level.

On a personal note, strive to remove fat and sugar from my diet as much as possible (not going to be easy as I have a penchant for Coca-Cola).

Mine is to get a whole lot better at composing and taking pictures and to increase my focusing speed!
The new toys need to be mastered.
