Bill and I did a wedding there on Wed. Beautiful place but a real challenge photographically. Add a bride in white, it's like being at the beach with shadows and reflections from EVERYWHERE! This is the first wedding we shot together, and I've got to say it was a pleasure shooting with Bill! We make a great team!

I like both of these shots Helene. Do I detect the possibility of rain in the "View from the Hotel"?

Ewwwww!!! Rain on the wedding day. Not good, but better than having your church burn down the night before your wedding... LOL That's what happened to me. Now, 39 years later it doesn't seem that bad.

Thanks, Jen! Poor thing has a serious weight problem and allergies, too.

"Barclay"

. . . my little kitty, who is not real happy about being photographed with a flash. . . especially when I woke him up.

That look on his face tells me he's sayin'..." you woke me up for this??". :) lol

Helene..#145 is a lovely shot..having been to a camera club recenlty where the MRPS judge said "always look around the frame before capturing the image" and with your shot my eye is distracted to the chair legs being cut off!..not meant to be negative, just my take on a great pic.

Thanks for your comments, Robin. I always welcome feedback. Compositionally it was more important to get the curves of the ceiling and have the table in the lower third of the shot. The decision was intentional. Rather sacrifice a little of the chair legs than the ceiling, which would have totally changed the photo.
