Saw some Gadwell Ducks on the lake today. They are just passing through on the way south.

Mallard and a Northern Pintail. The Pintail is also just passing through. I still have a bunch of shots to look at (and delete a few) tonight.

Spotted along the lake. Don't know what it was all summer but dried it looks nice.

​It would take a fork lift to get me back up.

Saw this Heron along the marsh today. When I first spotted him he looked like he was huddled against the cold. Soon enough he started to stretch and off he went.

Thanks Pat. I would say he was about 30 Yards give or take a little. I could hear his beak chattering in the cold It was about 40 and breezy.

I was really surprised to see him. All the egrets have been gone for about two weeks. I did see one in this general area about a week ago but not sure this is the same guy.

Thanks Barbara. They were not real happy that I came along. They went down over the bank and into the water shortly after i took this shot.

Green Wing Teals having lunch.

Not the best shot but it shows the size difference between a Mallard and a Green Wing Teal. Don't realize how small they are until you see them like this.
