I don't like it already. Notice how the lens stays perpendicular to your body when the camera is not being deployed? That means it's going to swing, sway and bump into s--t and the bigger the lens, the bigger the problem is going to be. I also don't like that it appears to require two hands to operate, even if it's just the thumb of the one hand that's required. On my current (bastardized) sling strap system, I can grab and shoot one-handed. Using a carabiner to attach the sling to the mount point on the camera body means I can detach the whole thing in a flash. I do like the wide shoulder-strap and the ventilation holes.
They have a solution for the perpendicular lens issue in a connection point that attaches to the tripod plate, and an adapter you can mount there to use both a quick release plate and the strap. Makes it hang more along the lines of what the infamous speed strap seems to do?
And curious, where did you see two hand adjustment? I just saw him hook a thumb and grab the camera. I must be just amazed at a strap that doesn't leave my camera hanging like the stock strap I still use.
The shoulder pad definitely looks like a win, but like Kevin, I'm "iffy" on the buckle in the middle of the chest, and wondering how sturdy that is. Looks like it might be a fail point, especially with a heavier rig.
Interesting, I not sure about the buckle being in the middle of the chest. I like the idea of the breathable shoulder pad.
Just kind of curious. I know that you guys are outsourcing the product to be manufactured elsewhere. What would come if there are any warranty issues. How would you handle these?
