Ok, on to some more of my faves...

Coconspirators? (Yes, these guys were FUN to follow and shoot!)

I can't believe you're making me do this AGAIN...

Doing their duty when it's all on the line... Loved the look of the preach/groom/wedding party watching the wee ones advance, and loved the effect of the bright reflections on the floor.

Getting ready for the next planned pic! (I was shooting between people and it gave a rather nice effect, I think)

These next 2 were just adorable, IMO...

Nothing like a groom getting shocked while his bride laughs!

Recently took a trip to Natural Fall State Park and spotted a young family where the wife was the "shooter" catching lots of pics of her husband and child. I, being the friendly sort, offered to get a photo of all of them together with her camera (even if it WAS a Canon), so she returned the favor (even if it WAS a Nikon). Here we are for your enjoyment!

I had the nifty fifty on, fighting the extremes of bright sunlight and dark shade, trying to catch a portion of the falls (below), so it was hard for her to get back far enough on the observation platform to fit us in.

More Natural Falls State Park pics later, gotta get caught up on some... :)

Like a lunchtime trip to the RiverParks?

1st two pics... I don't know what they're watching for, nor do I *WANT* to know.

What *I* came looking for was the color of Fall in the city... and I found a bit. :)

More Fall color from the RiverParks, another visitor as viewed from afar, and a couple of interesting sights from the river itself. :)

This first image, I would crop of the orange but from the sealing, my eyes keeps looking at it.

But again good images :) Love those where you framed the woman and the kid with other people.

And very good image of you and your family. Your pretty tall? Your kid is adorable! Even if this may be a badly chosen word for a young guy lol.

Thanks! And yes, I'm 6'4"... pretty proud of my family, too. They offset my ugly pretty well! :)

I'll make sure my son knows he's "adorable", and remind him about it a few times over the next week. LOL

Had my 2nd ever portrait session today. WHAT A BLAST!!! It's a groovy feeling doing something you love, and seeing how the family reacts is priceless! Perhaps I'll share some of those pics soon, but until then, I need to give my eyes a break from editing. Gives me PLENTY of time to share some more RiverParks pics! I'm particularly fond of my bug shots! :) :)

1st, one of the not so common green ladybugs. I think it may actually be a cucumber beetle, but nonetheless, it was a chance for a nice shot!

Then, this GORGEOUS Passion Butterfly came by and struck a pose or two (or MORE) for me. FANTASTIC!!!

Few more beautiful butterfly pics from my RiverPark journeys. They really love hittin' the wildflowers before the cold weather slips in...

Sometimes, it's just fun to wander and see what catches your eye, then stop and shoot as you please. No rhyme, no reason, all fun. I posted 3 of these pics from a trip earlier in the month already, and they can be seen in the November monthly challenge, but here's a few more found while wandering meandering state highways, etc. The only thing I was worried about was capturing the photo the way I wanted it, so I had little to no reason to rely on cropping. There may have been some "slight" crops, but not as much as was typical when I first started. :)

1st, we spotted a HUGE gate with the words "Frances Lake" over it, and a fairly well tended dirt road beyond, so I pulled over quickly and we meandered for quite a long while as the road kept getting narrow and more unkempt. I have one pic of the road in full glory in the aforementioned challenge, and found this road/pic MUCH deeper in. The leaves covered most of the road here, and fallen trees were barely held up by their woodsy companions. It wasn't too much farther that we had to turn around for fear of not being able to navigate further in my wee little Scion xB.

On the way out, I stopped to catch a pic of the gates themselves, as they were quite cool and "ominous", with a story all of their own to tell, I'm sure. It was then that I noticed the signs. OOPS! I think they were older, as now there were a number of driveways, houses, trailers and hovels splitting off from the road at first, so it did seem as if it were more of a public access road giving access to homesteads beyond (or at least I hope!). One of the roads, deeper in, was called "Old Hotel Road", so I was wishing I had more time to explore, but alas, we were far from home and had to continue onward. I may return some day...
