Congrats, Mike. Hope you enjoy your retirement. I know I certainly do. I retired about 7 years ago, and I've enjoyed every moment of it since. I put in 30 years with the company, and while I had fun with it, I felt it was time to move on to do the things I wanted to do. By the way, your birthday is 8 days after mine, and I'll be 66 this Xmas Eve. :)

You may have suffered the same as me then as a child, the relative that says i didn't buy you a birthday and Christmas present i just bought you an extra special one, bless em :D

Well i was all set for retirement this Christmas with me being 65 on the first of January,we have a situation at work that occurs occasionally and i had said the next time will be the last, well it occurred today and after several meetings during the course of the day i am now retired.
All was amicable and i have been ask to give thought to returning on a part time basis in the new year, this will need serious thought though as a more important situation is being able to do a 365 rather than an as often as possible ;)

Its a strange feeling i guess because i wasn't mentally prepared for it yet,i may take the camera out tomorrow

Good luck to you! I retired a few years ago and love it, main thing is to stay active.

That'd be 8 days after mine also, but Jack's older.

Or since I wear earrings, one earring is for your birthday, the other for Christmas.

Enjoy your new free time. It's about the only thing we don't have to pay for nowdays.

You'll probably find out, at least that's what I'm told, that you might be busier than you ever were.

Best of happiness.
