Help needed.

Seeing as I am picking up my new D800E on saturday I am considering a second purchase but am unsure which way to go. Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Nikon Zoom Super Wide Angle AF 14-24mm f/2.8G ED - for night time milky way shots and other landscapes (already have the 16-35mmVR f/4).

Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR - I have the older version of this lense.

And lastly

iMac 27inch (have 17inch MBP and 13inch MBP) with:
3.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz
32GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 4x8GB
3TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX 2GB GDDR5

Ok back to my original question, should I upgrade my Mac so it can handle the files better? Or should I buy new lenses?

You'll need a faster processor and the Imac meets the specs to breeze through those NEF files. Get an external hard drive too at least 2tb.

The 14-24mm f2.8 is something that I have desired but I don't shoot a lot of landscape that much. The 24-70mm f2.8 handles most of that stuff.

3rd item on the list is to upgrade the 80-400mm to the newer version since you are more of a wildlife shooter.

Nope just have a good paying job ;)

Well then why decide??? Buy 'um all and let God sort them out...er, no, I guess that one doesn't really work with lenses, does it. How about - "Buy 'um all and let your kids sort them out"?? Or if you don't have kids (or don't like your kids) then how about "Buy 'um all and let your widow sort them out"?? ;)

I bought the new 80-400VR2G really I can't enough good things about it. No regrets whatsoever. I have tried the 200-400VR - awesome glass however too big and awkward to pack around for what I shoot.
