Just for some birding practice I went out last evening and shoot some Gulls, kinda fits into the rodent theme. Here is what I came up with.

Uh-Oh, you caught me... It's kind of a long story but here it is. I bought that D700 and used it for about a month - one downfall - it had roughly 8 hot pixels, 3 where bright enough to show up at ISO 200 on fast shutter speeds. After paying 1700 it was something I just couldn't get over and kept waiting to see if the store would get anymore in stock - but they never did. Right around the 30 return date i did just that. I sold the D7100 to another photographer and made a few hundred dollars on it, so I was camera shopping again. A friend let me borrow their backup D600 while I was shopping (actually kept waiting for a D3s to come about refurbished or at least in good condition) but people seem to be hanging on to those bodies like gold. I made some money off that equestrian event and ran across this D4 at Roberts - store demo - for a great price with thier 180 day warranty. So there you go, It is more than I need but I am very happy with it - at 16 megs It is enough detail for landscapes and it is perfect for sports/wildlife.
Do you have your Camera equipment insured seperately Marcel? I need to do that - I had visions of dropping this setup in the lake last evening and tightened my grip. :)

I'm just covered with my house insurance (all risks but hight deductible). As long as I don't make money (not professional) it's OK like this. Otherwise, you have to list all equipment with receipts and you pet per value. For me, I can live with this.
