Yesterday I walked my dog, my D5100 and the Nikon 55-300 lens I had around my neck cos I wanted take some photos of the dog under the streetlight. But I saw the moon and took a shot handheld. Not the best but I konow that I can do if I take my time to compose the shot.

I tried my best to use my 2x teleconverter on my Sigma 150-500mm but the images at 500mm (instead of 1000mm) were sharper.

More fires and another beautiful moon picture. The smokey haze seems to do a beautiful job at cutting down the intensity of the light and brings out more detail.

Here's one I took years ago through my telescope... used an adapter to fit the camera (Nikon D3-I think) to the eyepiece.... I was pretty pleased with the result.

That would be a F3 not D3 - ahhh the good old days... taking a picture... getting the film developed ... waiting to see "if you got anything"
