Sounds like the camera is locked up... Remove the battery from the camera, and make sure you have a freshly formatted SD card... Use the Mac Finder to remove/Trash everything on the memory card...
Thanks Patrick, for the reply but did all those things and it just wants to keep updating the c 1.01 firmware update from a month ago.Download the file to your PC and open the folder.
Check the firmware on your camera...
You should see
C 1.01
L 1.008
Switch off the camera then remove both SD cards....put them somewhere safe and get a spare SD for your update.
Plug the spare into your PC , forat it if its not empty, then copy the file from the download folder into it. The file you want is named like
NKLD#####.BIN
Where #### will be the version.....you should see NKLD01009.BIN
put the card into your camera
Switch on the camera
Then go to the firmware menu and click Update. It only takes a few seconds
When done you'll see
C 1.01
L 1.009
Switch off the camera, remove the SD card and put back your original two SD Cards.
Just update to the latest version; there's no need to install every incremental update in between as the latest version will contain the data from all previous versions.Newbie question.
I just got 5200 and L version of firmware is 1.006, latest version on site is 1.009. Is is possible to update firmware to last version, without need to update to 1.007 and 1.008?
Has anybody done this on 52000 with this situation successfully, without problems
