Dude was in hiding under all the shrubbery.. had to coax him out...

Looks like he was having a private time with that slug on his arm..

he doesn't like it & he's showing me the finger!

That was a difficult shot...
Found him in the grass on the ground & the blade was tilting backwards towards the ground..
So there was literally no place for me to hold the camera just above the ground, facing upwards AND focus.. though i was lying flat on my stomach on all kinds of dirt & crap...
By the time i took the shot my hands were all shaking :)
happy with what it turned out to be..

The mark of a good photographer is to do whatever it takes to get the shot. I used to do that but now when I get down on the ground it takes three people to get me up again.

These damn flies keep moving so fast & this dude was having some kinda tussle with a couple of ants.
Every time he would settle down somewhere, an ant would come charging & crash into him making him take off :)

Unbelievable!
He has some insect in his grasp and some kind of 'lasso weapon' which he has around his prey!

WE are going to have to get an exterminator to come visit you although if we do you won't have as much to shoot with your macro.
