I think this may have been the origin of the Jack-o-lope myth. Although this is a type of disease in rabbits, they say it's not that uncommon.

The Jack-A-Lope has been around ever since I can remember. I have seen them looooong before Youtube was invented. Taxidermy people have been placing antlers on rabbits for many years and selling them as Jack-A-Lopes.

You know the old saying, every myth has a kernel of truth to it. My suggestion had nothing to do with YouTube, that was simply a way to illustrate a possibility.

The difference between the two rabbits is that the one with just the knobs is alive and real and all of the Jack-A-Lopes never existed until they made a visit to the taxidermy. I might add that the antlers on the Jack-A-Lpoes are real just added to the rabbit. They are definitely real full antlers and not just knobs. So both do exists but look decidedly different.

So I guess the first taxidermist that decided to put antlers on a dead rabbit pulled the idea out of his backside, or is there a possibility he got the inspiration for his ingenious idea after seeing a rabbit with cerebral protuberances?

Grandpaw, I think we're talking in circles here.

Have a nice day.

I agree.

Grandpaw, both birds are excellent and I'm glad you posted the 1289 photo.

In the post 1289 photo, are we able to see the beak from the bird in the 1290 photo?

My wife and I never stay in a condo when we are on vacation due to the cost. I was looking through some of my pictures and found this picture I took from the balcony of a condo that we stayed in on Disney World for our anniversary. A buddy of mine let us stay in one of his condo time shares and even sent us a big edible bouquet. The condo goes all around this lake and is about 5min. from Epcot. We really enjoyed our once in a lifetime stay. This is probably a normal thing for a lot of you but it really made it special for us. As a additional note we also went to Disney World on our honey moon back when there was only the Magic Kingdom.

The day after Christmas it will be 37 years. The condo had five different swimming pools and outdoor theater, mini golf courses, two lazy rivers and all kinds of other things we never got around to checking out. It was way above what we are use to.

Congrats! We will hit 38 years Dec 28th. BTW 60 is the new 40
