I have tried uploading a number of times, but each time after upload the image looks like this..

Yes, I see a white matte around the photo. It looks good on my computer since it defines the photo from the black background of my screen.

if the wife likes it you have a winner. If you have problems with it you messed up the shot, deal with it. Crop out the legs, make a nice print for the wife tell her you need another camera/lens since this one is broken.

i got that bit kinda easy..
she enjoys my photography.. and she got me started by gifting me a D5100 a year back...
so at most times i have a green signal to get any photography gear..
