Brad, very nicely done!! I need to try some moon shots with my 7100. I am still shooting those with the 5100 as the 300 is attached to it and I just grab it when going on the deck (birds and planes).

Michael, I suspect that brad has cropped the image to enhance teh size for upload/viewing. If you crop yours it should be the same.. Mine are all cropped too (moons)

As Pat said, it is quite heavily cropped.

I think this is really a nice shot!! Colors in body, moon is framed by clouds!! Good Job!

I like both your shots Michael, especially the second one.
The moon is overexposed, but not much you can do in that situation.
​Except a graduated ND filter I guess, If you had one at hand.

I think I should buy a filter anyway. Will search the forum about which filter

Michael, I just mentioned the Grad ND filter, referring to your street nightlife shot, because the moon and the streetlife scene required different levels of exposure. Normal moon shots dont require a filter as far as I know, I dont use one anyway.
