I like the humor in your shots. A tag line for a photo makes the thought process for the shot so much better.

Being good at tag lines is what separates the wheat from the chaff in modern day newspaper reportage.

I realized recently that i love art. All forms of art - painting, drawing, photography, etc..
Something about sculptures really enthralls me.

This above sculpture, is hand carved, on 3 separate blocks of Teak Wood, each 10ft X 2ft joined together.
Made by 3 craftsmen in around 10 days.
To add, it is the main door of a home

that is beautiful. I managed a web hosting company for a few year and the staff was in India. I got the chance to get to know several of them and learn a lot about the country. I want to visit India to see all the wonderful sites.

My son was stationed in Afghanistan in the Himalayas. He had a lot of stories about the terrain and the cold. That southern boy had never seen that much snow.

It is very dangerous too..
Just looking at the vastness gives you a very disconcerting feeling of how insignificant we are

My son is at about 6500 feet in the shot and you can see the mountains in the background. They traveled in 4 wheelers or horses or walked. To rough for most vehicles.

HIMALAYAS - UP CLOSE & PERSONAL Series: 01

I revisited my last year's trip to Himalayas which i had just lost track of
We had gone on an 'Aerial View' of the mountain range. The first pic in the page was taken from the plane & so are the following ones...
All shot with the 70-300 on the D5100 through the dirty scratched windows of this vehicle (was barely a plane.. just a few parts put together. A 1990 ATR would be Concorde compared to this)

The clouds looked so full, that for an instant you would forget that you are 10k feet high in the air... Looks like a carpet of cotton
