Darrell Young wrote a "Mastering the D7000" book that was my bible for learning that camera. I suspect that the D600 book will follow much the same pattern and use many of the same examples. He does a nice walk through the menus with practical examples and recommended settings. 1000x better than slogging through the manual by yourself, especially if you're fairly new to DSLRs. He's good.

Amazon has had it on pre-order since November. With no date yet it could be a while.

I pre-ordered it about a week ago. I thought I saw late March but I really don't know. For me it doesn't matter when it comes out because I'll buy it regardless. DY's books are great reference manuals in my opinion.
