What IS all that white stuff?

I don't know...maybe sand? I've always had the impression that Canada was a lush and green country but maybe it's a giant desert with sandstorms that bury their cars?!?

We have something like that is south Alabama. Storms kick up and bury cars and houses in sand. I guess that is what this is.

Oddly, for such a desert country with so much sand, it's surprising to me that the people are wearing jackets. Maybe it's to protect themselves from the blowing sand storms? I wonder if they ride on camels when sand buries their cars?
