Leaked emails from defense contractor refers to chemical weapons saying 'the idea is approved by Washington'


Obama issued warning to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad last month that use of chemical warfare was 'totally unacceptable'

Leaked emails have allegedly proved that the White House gave the green light to a chemical weapons attack in Syria that could be blamed on Assad's regime and in turn, spur international military action in the devastated country.

A report released on Monday contains an email exchange between two senior officials at British-based contractor Britam Defence where a scheme 'approved by Washington' is outlined explaining that Qatar would fund rebel forces in Syria to use chemical weapons.

Barack Obama made it clear to Syrian president Bashar al-Assad last month that the U.S. would not tolerate Syria using chemical weapons against its own people.

Our current president, in my opinion, does what he so chooses so long in his opinion the end justifies the means. And as you can probably tell I have no love for this president. However, based on what I did in the military, and first hand experience with things I can't discuss, I really question the validity of the story. Seen it too many times when stories were out that were completely false and I had first hand (I was there) experience.

You know, US has started/involved in at least 50 major wars since 60 years ago. It starts a new war every year and it is the only country which has used nukes against civilian cities, not once but twice.

And now they want to drop CW on civilians in Syria ???

I really feel for my friends in the US ... the govt there is always making the US citizens the target of paybacks because of the govt's interference in other countries problems.

You guys in the US do know that the Afghanistan war that the US is fighting is being paid by Japan. The US requested financial support from Japan as Japan cannot enter because of Act 9, first off Japan said 'NO' and was then threaten with sanctions on Japanese good imported to the US, so Japan said 'OK' and forced to pay 1/2 of the US costs. This was in the news back in 2006 or 2007 I think it was.

Trust me, would love to let the world spin in the wind on their own. The great irony - the U.S. is a global bully and yet repeatedly the world turns to us repeatedly. I'm up first to cut off all the money and our military might so those that live freely today as a result of our starting or involved in war efforts can go it alone.

Leaving this topic because it frustrating to read/hear, not just here, from those that suck off the teat of our dollar to prop up their country and government while criticizing the milk is the wrong temperature.

Hardon for the US? Not a snowballs chance in hell ... I hate all governments be it my own in Australia, my fathers in the UK, my mates in the US or my new home Japan ... I do not like any government they all start trouble and it is the civilians that suffer.

The common person be them Iranian, Israeli, Japanese, American, Africa I have no worries with.

I just find it a bit of a shock that the US has approved the use of CW on civilians so it can enter another war. I find that an act of Terrorism and do not understand how the US can claim it is fighting a war on Terrorism.

If the US want to get the guy out, why not just do like they did with OBL? Send in the Seals or even ask the Aussie or British SAS to double tap the guy at the top.

If the US/UK or Australia Govt sent in SF to top the guy then I would support it 100% ... I cannot support the killing of civvies as way of starting a war.
