Well as I'm writing it's been 2 hours and 15 minutes without a cigarette! I estimate that eguals at least nine cigarettes I haven't smoked! :)
But it's hard going, and I have to consciously watch that I don't lite up without thinking about it.
I don't know of anything I can do that will help get me through this except pure willpower, which failed me last time I tried. But I've already held up longer while awake than I did before, so maybe there is hope for me after all. :)

By the time this is posted it will be 2 hours and 30 minutes smoke free! :)

Keep at it Bill, it will be worth it in the end if you can kick that habit.

My son gave up smoking last year, our Doctor gave him some tablets to take and it only took him about 2 weeks on them and hasn't smoked since. He had been smoking quite heavily for over 10 years.

Bill, why is it your trying to quit? My father died because of smoking. But I don't believe smoking will stop the clock sooner with every one. I know many old folks 80-90's that still smoke. Just curious. Of course I do believe not smoking is better than smoking.

Mainly for my wife, since she's had to quit. I don't want her to start up again due to my smoking. Second we need the money that cigarettes cost us free for other needs.
Yes that is about it. :)
