I currently have a D3100 (with the two kit lenses) and really like it. Noticing a lot of folks have the D7100...I'm not unhappy with the D3100 but wondering if the grass is greener???
IF I sold the 3100 I wouldn't mind spending the extra bucks for a nicer camera, better features, etc. But would there be a huge difference, enough to warrant going ahead and upgrading?
I am not a professional photographer, no wish to change careers, etc. BUT I'd like to be able to take photos worth showing to family/friends.
My plan/idea is to sell the 3100 with it's kit lenses and then buy the 7100 body. I have a Sigma 17-55mm lens and a friend loaned me his Nikon 70-300mm lens, which has been a ton of fun and I'm not going to be happy to give it back when he realizes I still have it. He'd probably sell it to me, which would be great.
Please advise.
