First outing with 18 - 105mm
Whooo hooo ... my brand new second hand 18 - 105 arrived yesterday so I took it out for a spin this morning. I'm really pleased with it and even more pleased with myself as I learn to use it for what I believe it is designed to do.
Anyway here is one of the shots I took and I don't know why but for some reason I really like it. I think because the group in the image are all looking left which sort of fits in with the beams.
I'll post some more later - got some nice Bumble Bee shots.

Did you use spot meter/center weight meter rather than matrix meter on the train? Background is a little over exposed so I'm thinking the camera metered more heavy on the black.

I just saw that your EXIF data came through, it was center weighted. Try matrix on a shot like the train. But I think the center weight helped you in the first shot and kept the awning from washing out. Enjoy that lens!
