There hasn't been any sort of announcement or press release, but Nikon has quietly created a Nikon Store website. Personally I'll be watching to see if they stick with list prices or try to compete with the B&H's and Adorama's of the world. Will they have stock when others don't?

One notable observation is that the Speedlight SB-600 is not listed on the site which may confirm some of the rumors of a soon to be announced new product.

Just from what I can see on some products I compared, they do not compete with Adorama. Might be nice though if you have trouble getting a product. We will see if they have the product when others don't.

Nikon store 50mm 1.8D $134.95, Adorama $119.95; Nikon store for 18-105mm zoom $399.95, Adorama $289.95. Both of these comparisons were for the USA model with 5 year warranty. I suppose there will be times when one will be better than the other but so far it would seem Adorama has nothing to fear.

Please note, it is only available for the USA not outside
