    New Tamron 150-600mm f5-6.3

Just saw this announcement this morning.

Unveiled: New Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Ultra-Telephoto Zoom Lens | BH inDepth

I love my Sigma 150-500mm, but if I was in the market for one today I believe I'd wait and see at what price this comes to market, and how it looks wide open at the top end, because having that extra 100mm would be awesome for wildlife. That's the focal equivalent of 225-900mm on a DX!!

That is interesting. I wonder how Sigma will respond.

I'm going to guess that lens comes in at just under $1200.

    I was told $1500US.
Tip: If a Nikkor lens doesn't have "DX" on the barrel, it's an FX (full-frame) lens.

Looks like a good competitor to the Sigma 150-500mm.
