Thanks Joe ... This is a picture of my Father heading out to fish under his next door neighbors docks. We don't let him go to far by himself anymore as he is 82 years old, and not as strong as he used to be.

Well bad news folks. Hurricane Sandy has sunk the HMS Bounty.

I'm glad I was able to get on her when she was in Halifax and a few pictures too.

May her spirit sail on forever

The Bounty

That shot's a keeper. The HMS Bounty went down off the North Carolina coast during Hurricane Sandy. 14 crew members rescued safely. One crew member recovered but unable to save her. Captain still missing.

I know he is ok because he is just that kind of dude but I wonder what is up with him.

Duh...now I see that you are still with us.

If you have never read it you ought to read it...an incredible story all bound up in this one vessel and it's saga continues over 200 years later. If the Royal Navy would have found them sooner they would have hanged from bowsprit!

To many men, not enough women, and alcohol on a tiny island that is like paradise...a deadly situation!

It looks odd to me. The central yacht has almost a mirror-like reflection, yet all around are ripples. So I'm not convinced it hasn't been digitally edited. It's a super photo, but for me, not quite so good. Sorry.
