    Anyone tried comparing Z50 vs Z7 crop

    Anyone tested Z7 crop files to Z50 files?
    Z50 = 20.9MP
    Z7 = 19.5MP in DX mode
    Z6 = 10.3MP in DX mode

    Apologies if this has been addressed before.

    I have not, but the math puts the results very close (obviously). They could be even given the lack of an AA filter on the Z7.

    From what i have read not a lot in it, some Z7 owners are buying the DX 16-50 as a travel lens for the Z7 to shoot in crop mode.

    Re: Anyone tried comparing Z50 vs Z7 crop

    That's where I was going with this. I have a D7500 and a D800. I dont plan on upgrading suuuper soon, but I want to keep in mind the lenses I have and what I might bring with me to the mirrorless system once I jump in. I kinda think it would be good to take the Tokina 11-16 and sigma 18-35 f1.8 - both crop lenses to the FX mirrorless for video if for nothing else. Both lenses work ok in full frame, but if I can set the camera to crop and still get whats produced outa the d7500, I'd be a happy camper.
