Interesting lenses coming out Mike. I like the 20mm quite a bit but it is not going to be cheap. It is a bit over $1000 US for the lens. I do know that it will be pretty amazing if it stays in line with the other primes. I am very curious about the 24-200. I am just not sure about it. I bet it would be nice just to walk around with, but I am kind of surprised about the f4-6.3.
One thing I am sure of is some will complain about the 1.8 f stop on the 20 mm Prime. I know that many complain about the lack of a 1.4 primes in the lineup, but I am amazed at how well the 50 and 85 1.8 lenses do with sharpness bokeh. The 85 amazes me. I have used an 85 1.4 with my 700 and it was not any better than the 1.8 on my Z6.
I was looking at the Lens map today, after the announcement, and noticed something and it caused me to pause and ask a question. What if Nikon is going to skip 1.4 and simply go to 1.2 lens for the fast primes? I may have missed it, but I did not see any 1.4 primes. They were either 1.8 or 1.2. Maybe that is their plan. It would not surprise me.
Thanks for sharing the announcement Mike.
Aren't all FX lenses by default DX lenses, so wouldn't these just be two FX lenses? Not trying to be a smartass, just wondering if I'm missing something.

My head hurts. So why is the title of this thread One new FX lens and one new DX/FX lens with VR when they are both classified as Full Frame?
