I'm not suddenly finding the environmentalist in me, but you're allowed to be that close and touch them?

That would be such a cool experience.

Yes, the whales come to the boat. The mother will often lift her baby closer to the people. We saw many. Some wanted to be left alone can easily swam away. Others honestly wanted to interact, coming to the boat and waiting for attention. All the guides are respectful and keep a fair distance allowing the whales to come close if they want. Quite an experience when you see how powerful these giants are and yet docile and friendly at times.

2 of my work colleagues are going to do this in 2 weeks, they are heading 1/2 down Baja on the Pacific coast (sorry cant remember the towns name).
