This is my first outting dedicated to photographing birds, etc. It also serves as my second 200-500/5.6VR practice session.

You should have called me Ted. I would have met you there. I had planned on going today, but got a flat tire on our way back from Bethesda Hospital.

BTW, according to the water dept, this is the most photographed tree in Wako.

Nice start, but I've noticed that a lot of your shots are at very low shutter speeds. Take a look at the ones that you shot at 1/1000th and compare them to the ones shot at lower speeds.

Enjoy your new lens. Only a few more weeks before I order mine. I can't wait!

Ted, nice shots. Great place to shoot birds. I'll be in Melbourne Feb and Mar, and plan on at least one trip to there during that time frame.

When in Feb? If it's early Feb, you can join us at the Circle B Bar in Lakeland for a day or two. http://nikonites.com/off-topic/31553-post-your-meet-greet-here.html?highlight=meet

Also, let me know when you'll be at Wako, Green Cay and/or Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge. If I'm available, I can meet you. Maybe we can talk Ted in joining us if we ask nicely.
