One of my favorite birds. Lots down in the US this year. Where is this?

Great shot,chased them around down here in jersey for awhile,got some pics here and on flickr,such a pretty bird

According to this article, the snowy owl has shown up in several US states--haven't been aware of any locally though.

No this year is exceptional we usually have some around in winter but not as many as this year we even had Great Grey owls around this year I never found them

Dont know if your aware of ebird Hark but they give pretty good reports and if you hit map they will show recent sittings...

Yep I got it already I just happened to be in Florida when the GGO showed up:frown-new: word of warning sometimes out Owling there can be some fights (baiting the Owls )birders can get Irrate I'm neither here or there on baiting but it can get nasty

I recall Nikon using the snowy owl in their promo pieces for the D600. They're beautiful birds. You took great pics.
