Just bought a sigma, 10-20, not fx so sending it back, what do you all recommend for a wide FX zoom, I sold my 14-24, and my 19 TS, needing a good wide FX zoom to fill the gap.

If you don't absolutely need the 2.8, Nikon's 16-35 f4 is a nice lens. For a while I had both the 14-24 and the 16-35 and after making a few side by side comparisons I sold the 14-24.

The 16-35 uses the 77mm filters and has VR. It's also quite smaller and lighter than the 14-24 and the Tamron 15-30. the reach to 35 I find pleasing because it can stay on the camera a bit more for smaller groups shots or events.

And it also costs less than the 2 other mentioned above.

Tamron SP 15-30mm f2.8 is on sale for a couple of days at Roberts Camera

See AD

I don't have it or know anything about it, just had the alert pop up from Roberts.

Another nod to the Tamron 15-30mm G2, assuming you're okay with the heft (~2.5 Lbs. of it).

Fast, constant aperture; great sharpness, weather sealing, awesome image-stabilization, Tap-in compatible... It's the whole nine yards.

Another recommendation for the Tamron 15-30 2.8 G2. The image stabilization is excellent. I had a 14-24 2.8 Nikkor but wanted one better suited to hand holding. So I bought the new Tamron for less than I got for the 6 year old Nikon. First impression was the wonderful feel, very attractive lens. Then testing it while walking home in the evening from the camera store and found I could get sharp hand held images at 1/2 second. Image quality is as good or better than the older Nikkor, corners are sharper for sure. It works very well on my Z6 also. It is compatible with the Tap-In adaptor so I was able to download the lens firmware to update it so work with the Z6 last year at this time. Some of the older Tamrons are not upgradeable. After that very impressive first experience with a G2 Tamron, I had planned to sell my 70-200 2.8 and get the Tamron G2 but stopped when I found out Nikon was to have a S version out about now. They delayed it until early 2020 however.
I never gave Tamron much thought before after playing with earlier models owned by friends but this G2sold me. It just feels silky smooth and refined. I am done with F mount lenses now, not investing more since I am shooting all the time with the Z6 and the DSLRs sit on the shelf. I even sold my beloved D850 when the used prices were still good but might buy another when used prices drop as they are bound to with so many people switching to mirrorless.

I vote for the 16-35mm f/4, and it's my "go to" for a short zoom. It has tremendous color rendition, and the low-end distortion is easily correctable in post processing. I'd have liked to buy the 17-35 f/2.8, but the 16-35 put a far smaller dent in my wallet. The one stop loss is easily handled with an ISO push.
