For those considering Affinity Photo as a photo editor. Affinity has released version 2 recently (about a week ago) on the Affinity web site they are offering a launch offer 40% off direct download, this is 40.99 one time fee (not a subscription). Any updates to that version will be offered free till end of life.
I have had version one for a few years and received updates till its end of life.
I have found it very helpful and performs well on my modest windows machine (mac version is available as well). The very inexpensive price seems the cheapest out there (for full photoshop like features) and it works very well and seems fully featured.
I seem to be able to duplicate most editing task suggested for photoshop. I have no affiliation with Affinity, just see a lot of threads looking for something inexpensive that has full features. They have a trial available to try it out.
