Having a bit of a technical problem, any help would be appreciated

I appreciate your help mate. I have searched Google all night. A few people seem to have posted similar problems but there never seems to be an answer except one half answer. Someone with the same problem Sent their camera to nikon and was repaired... no explanation really given, but they said they got it fixed. I have emailed nikon so hopefully i get a reply and maybe an idea of what's wrong

It might take a bit longer than normal to get a response from Nikon. A lot of, if not all, of their service centers are operating at reduced capacity or not at all. I just saw a message on Nikon's web site that asks for our patience while they try to return to regular operations. Good luck.
