Need to get a better understanding of this long tele zoom. The photo show how I get photos of animals in the mountains.
How useful is this OLD VERSION of 80-400 VR as a travel companion in my backpack on long mountain hikes. How easy is it to use,
and how "fast" can I be ready to shoot them mooses running in front of me. At heafty size ans weight, 1.5 kilo, it might be
an advantage for me-- better to hold, more substantial grip etc.
In fact, I have this idea that the Nikkor 70-300 will be not as usefull/ not enough telezoom. but I might be all wrong :-(
The Nikkor 70-300 is too easy to get, many such lenses at sale just now, very low asking prices, I can get it very cheap.
Sorry for all this double posting.
