As many of you are aware, our Admin will be implementing a new server for Nikonites. When that happens, the forum will be down for an unknown amount of time. This could happen as early as within this next week but also possibly happen the following week or the week after that. No clue whether we will get a advanced notice - so please be aware this will be happening soon.

:loyal: That's funny (the billboard I mean). I will ask again about the forum as I haven't heard anything since I last posted. Pages sometimes load really slow which is something we encountered in the past.

The system was down last night, but is now up. Both my cell phone and PC reported that Nikonites.com is not available. Was this the new server installation? If so, we shore got a lot of advanced warning, NOT :(

No, the forum being down had nothing to do with the Admin. He took care of whatever caused the issue. The new server is still going to be a while as his job has been taking up a great deal of his time. If we hear of any changes coming up, it will be posted. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the information. Last night when I got the error report on my PC, I was concerned that I had a computer problem (Mal-wear). However, when I got the same error message on my cell phone, I rested a lot easier!

It appears I'm able to post images directly again... I normally run ADBlock Plus in my browser to over-come the obnoxious Google ads here...And that won't let me upload images directly to a post. However, uploading images to the my gallery and then pulling the images form there, a multi-step process does work, sort of. It appears the gallery strips the EXIF data...

Anyway... this morning I turned OFF the ADBlocker and low and behold, it seems JDeg at some point turned OFF the Google ads???? And now I can suddenly post images again without the laborious process of adding to the gallery first...

Thank you...

Really? I posted earlier this afternoon by uploading an image directly from my PC while ADBlocker was turned on. Maybe clear your cookies if the problem persists. I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue right now. But we will see.

@hark... Cindy, I haven't been able to upload images directly to this forum for well over 2 years...

Have the Google Ads been turned OFF... I turned OFF ADBlock on this site, and now I'm NOT seeing any ads.

I turned ADBlock off to see if any ads show up for me. ;) I'm always curious when these types of issues arise for some people.
