Long time lurker... driven to ask some questions.

Fooled around for a long time with my Pentax istDL mostly as a point and shoot. Dipped my toes in every now and then into the manual modes. However, I live in Utah with amazing opportunities to shoot some great pictures so I purchased a Nikon D5100. I am now aggressively learning to use the manual settings.

Now off to the D5100 forums to ask a question.

Welcome Moab Man...Give aperture priority a go...Select F8 and shoot away..

Welcome MM! I was stationed at Hill AFB in the late 80's. Learned to ski there! GREAT SNOW and loved my time there.
