Great Buy! A new dx must be comming early next year! I doubt Nikon will leave a $1200 gap between Dx and Fx.

The lens alone is $850! ...not to mention the other free stuff that comes with it.

D7000 was my first Nikon and has been all round Africa with me as B camera on photo shoots and never let me down.

WOW that is a steal! I hope many decide to take the plunge at that price and pick up an amazing camera. I wish they were offering these deals when I picked up mine.

Man I should have waited 6 months but I was impatient. That is a steal for this camera.

such a great price for a camera that meters old glass, weather sealed, tough, and a great sensor.

That's the deal I just got on my wife's and my new D7000s. Glad to hear we got a 'steal'!

Yep, I ordered 2 bodies, 2 55-200mm lenses from Amazon.

Cheapest in the UK is £630 ($~975) for body only.
Might take a while longer before we get to sub $900 levels here

I am able to get one on ebay with a 18-105 for around $1000 here in India.
Am guessing that's a good bargain too!

That'll depend on the condition of both the lens and the body, but if both in mint condition, then yes an absolute bargain

I got mine a little less then this price. had a couple lens come with it.

I wonder what the new camera is like or if it would even be worth me looking into it in a few years.

When I got my D700, I thought of selling my D7000 but changed my mind and kept it. It is just too good of a camera. Really glad I did, use it as a back up all the time. You can't go wrong with the D7000. Had mine two years this spring and it has never given me a problem. Took it on my trips overseas.
