Replacing the Head on a ProMaster 7100 ???

I think I'd prefer a ballhead for my 7100.

Has anyone ever removed the existing head on a ProMaster 7100? Or, any other tripod head?

Step up to a Manfrotto... heads are ala cart... :ambivalence:

I took a ball head of my "Benro" not a manfrotto and replaced it with a three way tilt head, it screwed off anti clockwise

I can't get this one to budge, and I'm not a lightweight.

Can you get in touch with the manufacturers...

I had to fight with my 10 yr old Mafrotto platform head when I replaced it with a ball head. The biggest problem for me was convincing myself I was turning the two the right way. Once I dug in to it, it wasn't so bad.

Some tripod/ head combinations use 3 tiny grub screws to keep the head from unscrewing itself ... Turn the tripod upside down and check to see if your one has these little crews .
