Travel tripods?

I was wondering if anybody had any good recommendations for lightweight travel tripods, that I can take on walks, and the like.

I don't have a specific tripod reccomendation, but you're description of your situation makes me wonder if a monopod might work for you.

Thanks, I have had a look at some different monopods, but a tripod seems more stable, especially as I would like to try long shutter speed photos and attempt areas of photography like that

I have one of these... I consider this about as light as I want to go...

I've been using a Benro A150EXU with my D5100, comes with a ball head, about $69 at BH

Rick, is that ball head on your Benro removable or is it fixed?

It appears to be fixed. I failed to mention it has the quick release mount also. Because it is light and compact, I think I would get a larger tripod and head for general work (my next purchase). This one is great for hiking.
