Pleased to find this site,
I have inherited some older Nikon equipment, hoping to upgrade to some newer stuff. Very little experience using cameras other than a point n shoot so looking forward to my learning curve.

Hello & welcome to a friendly site of nice people willing to help. I don't think you're alone with the older equipment, as it does depend upon which newer equipment you decide to acquire that will determine whether or not it can be used!
