Hi Nokkie...You have burnt the detail out of the dogs light hair, in my opinion not a good look...

Try shooting it in the shade with your flash

I like it Carolina Photo Guy Thank You. I really like my pics of my dogs in B&W but i washed it out 2 much as my editing skills leave a lot to be desired

Check the angle of your computer monitor. It almost looks as if you have it angled down too much. That will tend to make you over lighten an image.

You need to make the flat surface of the monitor at right angles to your eyes.

Just my two cents worth. :)

You shot this outside. Set your ISO to 100 (or as low as your camera will allow)...you don't need anything higher than that. Also, you had your WB set to Auto. I would suggest you set it to Sunny. And as Pedro suggested, try shooting in the shade.
