Hello everyone,

I am new to Nikon & DSLR. Previously have used yashica, minolta, fuji & canon. SLR experience with the first 2.

I just received my Nikon D5100 2 days ago and it came with a an 18-55 kit and a 55-200 AF-s VR lens. I will be visiting often to learn from those who have vastly more knowledge and experience and as I get more familiar with my Nikon, hopefully to be able to help other newbies in the future.

I am 64, ride long distance motorcycles, enjoy scenery and floral & people shots...

Welcome ... My very first 35mm SLR was a Yashica, and I still have it !

For its time, and so easy to use and it took amzing pictures... especially night shots! Aperture priority mode and a tripo and it made you a wizard!
