Nice crisp shot though.. My kids are going through the spotty stage of puberty so actually catching a picture is hard.

hehe post processing indeed. , on his face i turned the saturation down to zero and sharpened the image slightly. The background i decided to leave in colour but with saturation turned up slightly, and i also blurred the background another 30 percent.

the lad is only 8 so there aren't too many blemishes to remove on photoshop. though i did smooth his skin out a little more.

Well it's a great shot. I'd probably have trimmed off the left a little to focus more attention on the boys face.

Thank you Patrick. I did trim a lot off but wanted to leave some colour so that it contrasts with the black and white
