Problems with Image Auto-rotation in-camera

Hi guys,

The auto rotation of the pics is giving me problems.
I check marked "Rotate Tall" and also "Auto Image Rotation", but still the picture is not rotating when i playback my images.

If it got to do something with the firmware, i am giving what appears under Firmware version on my d7000:

A - 1.02
B - 1.03
L - 1.002

I think i exchanged few messages with Billy on this perhaps, do not remember.

Help needed!

But I was wondering if the picture flips on the screen of d7000 when you rotate the camera. My point and shoot as also my smartphone got this feature, lol. Just wondering. The auto rotate feature is not available in D7000 i guess while playing back

Mmmm, i see what you mean now. I don't think it has that function. Though, i don't see why you would need it since you can have the camera rotate the picture for you. When i take a portrait with my D80, the camera turns the pic for me. So, when the camera is right side up again, the picture is right side up, not laying down on it's side.

Just checking, sometimes thats good. But you helped me learn the feature the d7000 got
