Hey everyone from the mile high state. I'm currently a very green amatuer, ok, glorified point and shooter at this point. I took the plunge into the DSLR scene a year ago with a D3100 and a kit lens. I eventually snagged up a tripod to go with it, but still need to add to the lens collection. What got me, well my wife and I into this? The point and shoot cameras, with their horribly short battery life, and small pictures, just werent cutting it with the scenery here. After a trip to the top of Mt Evans, it was clear we needed better equipment! So off I went and picked up my Nikon. I think we've taken over 3k pics at this point, alot just messing around driving, but I've taken a few when we stopped that came out ok. Much more practice is needed, then I'll be an ok photgrapher.
