First few shots with a D3100

Alright guys,

Here's my first few shots with the d3100.

Quick rundown on info:
18-55mm lens
ISO was set to 100 or 200 (I can't recall right now)
aperture set to f5.6 (lowest on kit lens)
camera was set to "A" so shutter speed was set automatically
VR was on
Manual focus
Active D lighting was off

Here is the best one of the few I took:



They were all shot in RAW format and post processed in ViewNX, with the exception of the one I posted ITT, that was edited in PS (B&W, overlay with opacity turned a bit down to make ring "pop").

Nice shot, I like the composition. Did you sharpen at all in PP?

Can't seem to get the shutter speed in the exif data.

I sharpened it a bit in ViewNX, before I edited it in PS.

I like the composition, and unusual subject matter..
