I can't make up my mind. They carry a different feeling and meaning to me. I think the one without the boat has more mood to it. The boat kind of diminishes the feeling of emptiness of the beach on that day.
Only one more opinion to help you make yours. Good luck because both shots are valuable.

You're right Marcel...where are all the people??? I haven't looked at it like that...

I prefer sans boat. However, if the boat wasn't in so much shadow it might look good.

I'm trying to imagine Leonardo da Vinci asking people......Mona Lisa...with or without the smile? Get my point? It's YOUR vision. It should only matter to YOU! Let others decide for themselves if they either like or dislike the photo.
