Learning Macro

Hi everyone
Hope everyone is good. I have recently been playing with a macro lens its actually a 1.8 50mm with tubes has been my biggest photography challenge so far Frustrating but FUN would love some opinions & tips THANK YOU

I just recently got an 85/3.5 macro. Its great! I also have a manual 24mm thats macro. But, i have to get close to the subject with my 24mm like your 50mm. The closer you are the less your subject is in focus.

I like it, what is it?

When I do Macro shots I try not to have my in-focus part right in the middle of the photo, the rule of thirds.
