First portrait style pics

Got my first digital camera (nikon d3100) back in jan. Only cameras ive ever owned was disposable cameras from back in the day..lol ... Took this photo a few weeks later with standard lens kit on apeture priority mode.. editing done in P.S.

Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous (and the photo is pretty good, too! just kiddin!!) I'm not a big fan of these selective colored B&W (or whatever they call them) but in this case it works very well. I love the way you've managed the framing, her gaze away from the viewer making us wonder what could be more interesting than a giant lollipop, and the little diamond reflections in her eye just top it off. A picture perfect picture!
