Contrasts in nature

I took a walk out by the lakes this afternoon and we had occasional sunshine and shade so it gave me the opportunity to capture some subjects against dark backgrounds and emphasize their colours as well as some of the remaining moisture from the previous nights rain.
I set myself the challenge of capturing these all using the incredible 300mm f4 PF lens on the D500 so it gave me a focal length equivalent to 450mm yet still allowed me to get in close.
I am really enjoying the results from this combination across all subject matter.

Thanks Mike, it is a superb combination and the 300mm PF is such a small lens yet so powerful so a very easy all day carry and no need for a tripod / monopod (it does not come with a tripod foot and to date I have not felt the need for one).
